DESCRIPTION:
Fairly large Of typical form of brass cast in openwork and engraved the door knocker is decorated with deep openwork arabesques, The central it’s very rich arabesque on this magnificent door knocker consists of characteristic palmettos with little curls. It lies on several levels and has different slants & the curves of which are strongly reminiscent of the gaping jaws of dragons. The piece is very finely made and was intended to be seen from both the front and the back.
