AN OTTOMAN BRONZE  SCRIBE’S PEN BOX (DIVIT),DATED,1221 HJ EGYPT OR TURKEY, 17TH CENTURY
of elongated form, with a bulbous inkwell of rectangular section with chamfered corners, decorated with cursive script, only partly decipherable, in oblong cartouches filled with arabesques, stamped with tughra.
