DESCRIPTION: | A pottery plate made for the Qajar dynasty period in Asturian or France, late 18th century, turquoise glazed, the central roundel surrounded by a series of oval and circular cartouches containing figures and fantastical beasts on a ground of interlacing split-palmette, imitating pieced metalwork, the underside plain, with old collectors’ label to foot. |
