The center element is a dragon intertwined with a leopard as on each crossroads sections with birds darting outwards in the upper and lower section comprised with horse griffen and birds peeking outwards, with the Blue inner intersections peacocks watching inwards, the term Sumak refers to the technique of wrapped wefts used for the weaving of certain Kilims and spread throughout the East, the most appreciated are those of the Caucasus.

There are innumerable variations, but at the base, the technique to get the carpet designs is to wrap the weft of the Kilim, previously woven, with wools of various colors in fact the Sumak are easily recognizable due to their compact consistency and colorful plots running free on the back of the carpet.
