DESCRIPTION:

The Comprising helmet and shield ,each densely chiselled with a naturalistic floral ground including small birds, borders overlaid with gold, key decorative elements inlaid with carved gold and silver-Inlaid, the borders inscribed with Persian verse, the back shield  padded and lined with red textile,

CONDITION REPORT:

Shield: loss of gilding. Damage to cloth lining, and the shiled fabric discoloured and torn. Including some losses. Some knocks and dents around the rim. Helmet: holes in the chain mail. Rust on the interior. Some rivets on the chainmail loose. Missing some chainmail links. As Image displayed.
