DESCRIPTION:
The plate Presented is a large beautiful porcelain Hispano-Moresque Ware Plate with An Andalusian yellow hexagram intricate Star in the centre, besides the beauty it’s surrounded with Al-Andalusian red delicate motifs, around the leeway, designed with beautiful open wide motives and bouquets intersected by lozenges following the leeway.

The variety of compositions has been initially a style of Islamic pottery created in Al Andalus or Muslim Spain, which continued to be produced under Christian rule in styles blending Islamic and European elements. It was the most elaborate and luxurious pottery being produced in Europe until 15th century, and was exported over most of Europe during the industry’s most successful period of 14th and 15th centuries. This beautiful piece has some past repair visible on the back, some chipping visible on the front highlights, and some scratches from use and care. This is a stunning antique piece as well as a highly collectable piece of ceramic ware.
